Maquiberry is a genus of Duaceae, mallow order, with a trunk length of 4-5m. There are hundreds of Maquiberry in a tree. It is a small wild dark purple berry with a diameter of about 4-6mm. Anthocyanins content of margie-berries grown on Patagonia plateau in Chile is much higher than that of other fruits due to harsh environment such as cold and high radiation.
